Have gotten several calls, on my cell phone & home phone saying I won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes of 2.5 million with $5000.00 weekly. Calls came from: 866 766 0589.
I never answered these calls, this information was messages left on my phones. Looked up the phone number, that's how I got here to report this scam.

I received a call from Dave Sayer who said the PCH team was on their way to my home with a prize check. He said I had won their prize that would pay me $5,000.00 per week for the rest of my life even though I have never submitted anything to PCH. He wanted me to go to either a Chase Bank, B of A, or Wells Fargo Bank to pay taxes in the amount of $7,500.00 for taxes. When I suggested I should go to the IRS to make a payment, he said I must make the payment at one of these banks. He wanted me to leave work and go to the bank to make this payment right away and to call him at 866-766-0589 when I got there. I did an internet search on the call bank # instead and found sources with Homeland Security and ScamPulse.com relating the same basic scenario. I am reporting this incident instead.

Dave Sayre left a message on my voicemail to call back 866–766-0589. He told me I was a PHC winner, I’m going to receive $5000 per week for the rest of my life. Ask me to make a certified check payable to Mary Dewar and deposited into an account number 898140920731 at Bank of America. Then I was to take the check receipt and the deposit ticket receipt to my home and they would show up with the balloons, check, flowers and camera. I know better than this, but I reported it to the bank and directly to PHC. This is the last step to contact ScamPulse.com so I could report a fraud alert.
