- Gainesville, FL, USA

The scammer pretended to be the USPS saying they needed an updated address and a 3.00 fee by credit card to redeliver my package. USPS doesn't charge such a fee.

I was charged 79.99 to change my address when it was supposed to be $1.10 on the actual usps postal website .

- Chicago, IL, USA

The text I received read "We were unable to deliver your package because your street address is incomplete, click to complete the address (link)". I clicked and it directed to a convincing version of the USPS site. It asked to verify my basic address info, which I did. The next screen asked for my credit card info to cover a $3 charge for redelivery, at which point I realized this is a scam and stopped to report.

- Flagler Beach, FL, USA

Emailed me that delivery address was incomplete and needed $3 to redeliver the package.

Text stated that a package could not be delivered by USPS because address was incomplete. Requested my credit/debit card number, expiration date, and security code to pay the requested $3.00 redelivery fee. As soon as I saw request, and the phone number where the request originated, I suspected a scam. I called the number and got a voicemail to leave my message. I hung up and discarded the text. The strange thing about this is that I mailed 3 packages just days before I got this text.
