Scammer has my social security number, address. Thankfully, the number is blocked. A woman named Rachel Stevens, tried contacting me via Microsoft Teams, and tried making me create jobs during a training session.

Sequentially, she tried giving me checks for the company products, both checks were unusually cancelled. This business when looking it up at the BBB, is listed. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been accredited. So I couldn’t continue working with them.

These checks were supposed to help me buy work materials for a remote proofreading role.

It was odd that the checks were constantly being returned. I refused to pay out of pocket 8k products worth for materials for company products that they should help me provide.

It’s important to keep work life and personal files private when working for a company remotely.
