I was contacted by PP POST representative on March 17, 2020 offering a quality inspector position. The offer was 1500$ a month and 50$ bonus payment per shipment. I am assuming they found my profile through career builder website. Stupidly, I went ahead, had the phone interview with them and was hired right away.
Unfortunately I did provide them my name, phone number and address in the "employment agreement". The whole idea of the job that they offered was receiving goods from different stores, opening packages, inspecting them and then reshipping it to "countries that where Americans stores don't ship".
Luckily, the next day I decided to check company's EIN, legal name, legal address, website IP address (registered in ROMANIA!!!) and address that was on their website.
After my research it became evident that EIN and legal address that were in the "agreement" belong to two completely different companies. In fact it seems that they stole it from legitimate companies. Moreover address that was used on their website belonged to a completely company as well.
Thus, the next morning I got intouch with United States Postal Investigation Services, reported them to Federal Trade Commission and today to BBB. I also received an email today from my new "supervisor" and kindly asked her to never contact me again.
Luckily I found out about it early and avoided to be a part of the reshipping scam, didn't receive not reship anything. I strongly advise everyone to do their research right away! And if you realize someone is using you or wants to use you as reshipping mule please don't accept any shipments and report right away.
