Scammer attempted to get me to ‘download’ an updated version on teams and refused to answer/talk on the phone with me. Said that all communication including the interview would be handled via text communication on teams.

i was emailed by [email protected] saying he hiring team from the company PRELUDE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS INC. have received, reviewed and approved your resume and you have been shortlisted for an online interview. We believe you have the required qualifications to handle one of the following positions.

The positions are as follows: DATA ENTRY, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT.

The start-up pay is $35.00 per hour while training pay is $25.00 per hour. This is strictly an online work from home job also known as a remote position. All needed and necessary details will be briefed to you during the interview section.

Following our newest online screening introduced by BBB, you are required to set-up and install Microsoft Teams app if you don't have, use the website https://teams.microsoft.com/ and add the hiring manager on this Email via Microsoft Teams app ([email protected]). He will be available online via Microsoft Teams app for the job briefing/interview section and comprehensive details. This is our first step to proceed further. He will be expecting to hear from you soon.

Your reference code is (PS-0147) this would serve as your identification number throughout the online hiring process. This is your first step, to proceed further we expect to hear back from you as soon as possible.

the contact from there was John Clark who interviewed after I saw this report on ScamPulse.com I asked john for a website, and he gave me this https://preludesoft.com/contactus.html He told me I had ten min to view it after I replied done he said I hope you are satisfied

he asked for two professional references and also during the interview question he asked for my bank name to see if it will work with other pay roll this is were I saw the scam

I went through an I went through an interview and was asked to deposit a check that was going to be emailed to me to purchase equipment under my name, supposedly with companies logos on it Provided my name I bank account and social on the W-4 tax form before They mentioned that I had to deposit a check or get that check emailed to me

I was initially contacted through text for a $35/hr proofreading job. They wanted to communicate with me through Microsoft Teams, and asked if I had that app downloaded and what my email was. I gave them my email and then a Mr John Taylor contacted me through Teams. I started getting suspicious and found this report on the ScamPulse.com Scam Tracker, so I deleted Microsoft Teams from my phone. Sorry, I can't give you their email.

I received a text message on Friday evening. I ignored the 1st one that was very unprofessional, asking if this is me. A half-hour later, I got another text on same feed saying, "I am Ms Christine Higgs from the company (Prelude Software Solutions Inc) and I am reaching out to you in regards your resume posted for DATA ENTRY $35/Hr. We believe you meet the desired criteria so reply as soon as possible to schedule an interview. Thank you!" I thought it may be a scam right away because of the poor grammar and the rudeness and pushiness. I got back, asked where she got my resume'. The response was, "Your resume was reviewed on (Indeedmail) resume database by our online recruiter and it was shortlisted and forwarded to me for the interview process for the available position." I did give my email, and that is it. I wanted to see where this was going. Their response: "Alright! Get started right away and notify me once you are in contact with the hiring manager Mr Paul Debesay for documentation purposes." The next day, Saturday, I received an email from Teams that so called Paul Debesay is trying to reach me. I went into Teams. His message read, " Welcome to Prelude Software Solutions Inc. I believer you are set to commence with the interview questionnaire session and company briefings, where you will get to know more about the company and the available position?" Again, not a well written sentence. Obviously, it's a phishing scam. I went along because it was through Teams. They now have my phone # and email address, nothing more. I said hello and that I am available for a Teams interview... Monday morning I got a Teams message from "Paul". It reads, "Good morning to You and how are you today? I blocked this name in Teams, email and replied to text that I know they are scammers.....and blocked. I plan to do a Teams meeting, so I can get a video of his face to give to police.

I recieved a text from this company stating they saw my resume and wanted to set up an interview. Data entry clerk for 35 an hour.. red flags too good to be true. So I played along and kept texting them to see if legit while googling. I found another thread on here from November where the same thing happened to someone but they provided their personal details. When it came to training time the person was asked to pay for his equipment and he'd be reimbursed. I of course heard alarm bells and never let it go that far. I am a very cautious person. So just wanted this to be on here to back up his claims in case anyone else is being scammed by this company. The last text I sent was is this the same company that is on the Better Business Bureau's scam tracker? Could you please provide proof your real?.... I was met with crickets.
