"Company" reached out to hire me outside of the job application website I've been using and then asked me to message "John Taylor" through Microsoft Teams to schedule an interview. I didn't go through with any of the steps afterwards, it all seemed really suspicious especially with 35$ an hour being offered for entry level data entry work. I hope nobody else gets scammed by these people.

I was contacted by Prelude Software Solutions Inc about a job I had applied for on Indeed. All communication was via Microsoft Teams App or via email. After a lengthy interview which resulted in me getting hired, i was emailed new hire paperwork to fill out. I submitted this paperwork, which included a job contract, W-4, and my banking info for direct deposit of paychecks. Tgis paperwork included all of my personal information...name, address, checking account info, ssn, license, etc. After my paperwork was submitted is when things got fishy. Originally the company was supposed to provide me with the materials needed to be able to do the job, including a company computer, phone and the necessary software, etc. This was communicated to me early on and several times. I was them asked to pay for part of it out of my pocket, and they would reimburse me. I then knew it was a scam. I have the entire Microsoft Teams App thread with all communication between us. I will attach the so called supervisors info (John Taylor was his supposed name) and a snapshot of our initial communication.

Thank you, I just went through this "interview process" last week, and was looking forward to the follow up on Tuesday.

This was a very sophisticated flex job scam operating under an existing company with a good reputation’s name. I went through the interview and signed an offer to process. They even went as far as to overnight me a cashiers check for work from home equipment. Only, the check was fraudulent and a rouse to get my account information. My bank luckily flagged it as fraudulent but this is the most sophisticated and frightening scam I’ve ever seen.

I received an email from this "company" thinking I had just been offered this position and I thought I hit the Jackpot for a high-paying job it seemed normal at first I filled out a W-4 which was my first mistake because that has a social security number and I also sent a copy of my license so now this scammer has personal information. now I feel stupid now I have to change all my information.

I was offered a job position as a data entry clerk through the company to work remotely. I was contacting the "hiring manager" via Microsoft Teams. It seemed legitimate until I deposited the check that was sent to me by the company to be used as funds for my work equipment. After depositing the check I was then asked to Zelle the money to a vendor to pay for the equipment. The vendor's Zelle account was not of a business or anything, but was a personal one. My bank called to warn me of this likely scam. When I expressed my concerns to the hiring manager, he kept telling me it was fine and to not worry and just send the money. This raised even more suspicion. I gave this company all of my personal information including social, address, and bank information thinking I was sending real documentation to begin a job.

The “company” emailed me in reference to a job and all the information given was false. The company attempted to get my social.
