Type of a scam Moving
1. Premier is an owned business, not a brokered moving business
2. I would have a fully dedicated van with a direct route to Phoenix arriving in approx 4-5 days. with a direct route to Phoenix arriving in approx 4-5 days.
3. I received a binding estimate
4. Annaliese stated Premier Global Van Lines was the number one moving company.
5. The terms of payment for the rest of the move was 1/2 at pick up and 1/2 at delivery.
My issues are
1. The debit for my account was under the name of I Hate Moving, a company I am unaware of and had not agreed to do business with.
2. The moving people that showed up were indeed brokers. (S&M Relo)
3. John from S&M said the inventory (which had not changed) was underestimated in space and it would cost an additional $1,314 to take the 9 pieces and 10 boxes. This was a 30%+ increase from the “binding estimate.” I tried to call Annaliese at that time and she wouldn’t take my call.
4. Up until 4:30 on moving date, I had never heard of this company, did not have a contract with them, and had not agreed to do business with them.
5. The contract sent while the movers were there stated the delivery window could be up to 45 days from pickup.
6. The truck was not dedicated to our move.
7. The movers attempted to change the terms of payment to 75% at pick up and 25% at delivery.
