A few weeks ago, a young man on facebook posted he was starting his own Air Duct cleaning company and offering a March special of $199. As a small business owner ourselves, I figured we'd help him out and give him a shot. BIG MISTAKE. Scheduling was through text from Sam from "Kleen Air Ducts." The first appt they had to reschedule, so they came out yesterday. Two guys showed up, Hank & Tony. They right away claimed we had MOLD in our vents, and I kind of freaked out of course, having 3 small kids in the house. They talked me into the chemical treatment and UV light on furnace, adding to $800. When done, I asked Hank for their card, he went to his van and claimed he didn't have anymore. He had me write a check to "Dr. Ducts" which I asked about because appt was made through Kleen air ducts, and he had a little shpeel about it. After they left, I realized how quick they were, and they didn't leave an invoice. I messaged him to ask for one, and he said he'd get me one later last night, to which he did not. I asked him again this morning, and he sent me a FAKE invoice, with Fake business info on it. The # didn't work, the company didn't exist , email didn't work and no address. I called him out and immediately someone by the name of Jonathan Tager from Premeire Air Systems called and left a message. After searching, I've come across many SCAM posts on Jonathan Tager and his air duct SCAMS, and he lives all the way in NORTH carolina, so it says. They did not claim to be part of the BBB, so I'm not sure this is even a valid claim. As of now, I've found many business names under Jonathan Tager, like Southeast Air Care, South East Duct cleaning and so on.
