“Kindly apply now if interested. You can thank me later. I enlisted you for approval.
Bill Casey”
His message was referring to a link that led to an application to be a paid “secret shopper.” I filled out the application and submitted it. I also replied to Mr. Casey, asking him if this was a project on which he was working. He never replied to that question and I can’t find him on Linked-in anywhere.
On June 15th, I received an e-mail from Kimberly at [email protected]. It said I was accepted to the program and they will be posting an assignment to me.
On June 16th, I received the assignment with instructions to follow. I would receive a check for $1878.00 the next day. I was to deposit the check and keep $350 as my commission. I was to use the remaining $1500 to purchase gift cards which I was then to load with $500 each. Afterwards, I was to “evaluate” the service I received and expose the card numbers and photograph them to send to premium-ai at the comcast address.
On June 19th, I did receive the check for $1878.00 via priority mail. I did not deposit it. I also received an e-mail reiterating the instructions. I emailed Kimberly and asked if I should wait until the funds cleared before proceeding. She replied that was fine and it wouldn’t take long.
On June 21st , Kimberly e-mailed me that they were looking forward to my report. I replied that I wasn’t going to do what they asked and offered to return the check. I have heard nothing from Kimberly or Premium-Ai since.
