The Caller used my name when I answered the call and asked I was indeed her.
When I confirmed that he said that he was calling to collect a past due account for services.
I asked what kind of services and he said they were SOL services or search engine services. I said you must be mistaken. Then he went into a lengthy prescripted monologue about how on some date back in April 2016 I had talked to their office and they had a tape recording of me agreeing to services which is as good as written agreement according to law, and I continued to say that I have no idea what services you are talking about, that there is no way I spoke to anyone about search engine services and that absolutely they do not have a recording of any conversation. He was very upset that I was talking over him to explain that this is not true.
I asked why his number was blocked and he said it was blocked and he refused to give me his number because otherwise everyone would be calling collections complaining etc.
I asked multiple times What company he was with, he would not answer and finally he said "Premium".
The more questions I asked the more he was agitated.
I explained that I am an educated individual and I would be reporting his call to the ScamPulse.com.
I terminated the call.
I immediately reported the call to my office phone to our IT department supervisor, who confirmed my suspicion that we do not deal with any company or collections of that nature.
I also received a call from a blocked number this afternoon, they did not leave a message but it did sound like the similar background noise.
Anytime a collections agency gives notice the write out exactly their information so the fact that he was unwilling to give out his information and became so angry, were red flags.
