Type of a scam Online Purchase
They are professing to be out of Bozeman, Montana.
The website promises to ship puppies to the prospective buyer.
They only accept Zelle transfers, no other form of payment.
When they get the money, shipment is typically promised within a day or so.
However, no puppy is shipped.
When questioned, they may refer to needing additional money for insurance.
This is where most become suspicious, however, I fear some unsuspecting innocents would continue this pattern.
The website provides no physical address, not even in “about us”.
Doesn’t even provide a city or state, however, they do say Bozeman Montana when pressed over the phone.
However, the domain is registered in California.
They lure unsuspecting traffic with the promise of lower priced puppies… only $650 compared to the market standard $2,000 and up.
Another $150 to ship, and another $50 delivered directly to your door.
They are very aggressive to collect the money via Zelle as quickly as possible.
So this fraudulent website routinely collects $850 or so before being properly suspected and questioned.
By this time, they may refuse correspondence or provide additional excuses to draw out the experience as long as possible and collect as much as possible without delivering anything.
