Looked into shipping costs etc.
Seller contacted the next day and offered to ship down as there was an empty stall on a livestock hauler headed to Vancouver.
Paid $550 for shipping on top of $500 deposit. Shipping company provided all details of seller and purchaser with a tracking number to track horse.
Things escalated and stated they could not leave Kelowna without proof of ownership the complete insurance for trip.
Reluctantly E-transferred $2000 payment to seller.(Kayson Kerrie from Facebook group, "Horses available for under 5000")
Details of shipment updated to be en-route. Next morning shipping company contacted my wife with bad news that Richmond required an Equestrian Schedule Permit to ship to Vancouver Island.
Had done some digging by now and Seller had a false profile on Facebook (but remains as a moderator for Facebook Page)
Asked for proof of horse being in Richmond and was provided a picture of same looking horse being unloaded from trailer.
Googled image and horse picture cane from VIP Coatings advertising flyer.
Continue to receive messages to pay outstanding permit fee to complete transaction..
The shipping company website and bogus Facebook profiles are all run by same group of scammers.
