I got an email from Jessica Raymond at Private Equity Talent Hunt ([email protected]) about a position with a confidential client and asking for a resume. They claim to be able to divulge more information once you submit a resume and sign a confidentiality agreement. If you send your resume, you get a message back that your resume is not "ATS-friendly" and pointing you to a paid site (https://ats-friendlyresume.com/) to reformat your resume with promises to get back for discussions. If you pay to have your resume reformatted into a hot mess, you are then ghosted.

I got a similar scam email from [email protected]. The website https://petalenthunt.com looks like a scam as well. The address listed appears to be an unoccupied building. Beware!

Thank goodness the message went to my junk folder so I did vetting before responding!

Job Hunters Beware!

I believe the same scammers are now soliciting with a slight variation in the company name. I did find a website for the company (https://petalenthunt.com), but it's VERY questionable and the address leads to what appears to be an unoccupied building. My scammer went by "Jessica Raymond." I just got the exact same email from Clay Martin. I asked where the position is and received back it's remote. Thought I'd do some research before sending my resume and found this and other sources that it's a scam.

Unfortunately I found this information AFTER I had sent a reply with my current resume and cover letter and LinkedIn profile. Dumb, dumb and dumber. I clicked on the https://perecruitinginc.com/ link contained within her email signature and thought the company was legit. I am amazed how these phishing/scammers/ID thieves are getting. It makes looking for remote work online just about IMPOSSIBLE and so very discouraging!

I have probably had a dozen of these scams come through my email. See below extract from email header

Mounthly Payment Failur: Our payment merchant has rejecteds your renewal membership. Your renewal Prime subscription was schaduled to renew on Sunday, December 18, 2022. TRX#032-852863

They cant even spell! They are phishing to get the account number and password from the Amazon user. I dont even have an Amazon Prime account. This needs to be stopped.

Same as the others. I received an email from Darlene Stewart as well. Claiming to be a private equity recruiter. I immediately noticed this was odd since there was not a job description on the email. I replied back to her that she had been reported and would be help accountable for her actions. These scammers have to be stopped.

+5

A Darlene Stewart at PE Recruiting reached out to me. The email said an undisclosed client is searching for executives without mentioning what the positions actually are. HR executive, Operations manager, Finance, Accounting, nothing. She wanted an updated copy of my resume. I have not updated mine in a couple of years.
I said my LinkedIn profile is complete. She wrote back to say the client will not disclose anything or engage in a conversation without a resume.
I offered a phone call and suggested we connect on LinkedIn. Nothing. It seems their website lists an office location where they are not located.
Scam

I got the same email, they need a CMS complaint resume. Posing as private equity recruiter having to fill positions for a confidential client. Requests resume and responds that it need to be converted to an "Application Tracking System compatible" format as my resume doesn't parse correctly. Refers to a company at https://cmsresumes.com to convert against a fee.
Recruitment Email

They pose as a recruiter, but then when you send your resume they say it needs to be converted to an ATS format. Then, when you pay to do so, the job suddenly disappears! I get an email 2-3 times a year--same scam every time.

+5

I just got the same email

Posing as private equity recruiter having to fill positions for a confidential client, NDA required for any additional information. Requests resume and responds that it need to be converted to an "Application Tracking System compatible" format. Refers to a company at https://cmsresumes.com to convert against a fee. Not sure if this is only a scam for the fee amount or a broader attempt to secure credit card information of both.
