This Robert/Drake Wagner is running a total scam operation. He appears to either operate a variety of businesses, or he just changes the company name repeatedly.

His phone is 813.802.8519.

I am a real person, and this happened to me on March 4, 2024.

A week ago, we applied for a rental. I thought it was weird that he videos he sent were unprofessional walk throughs filmed five years ago. (Before we paid, we were going to visit Tampa and check out the condition of the home.)

He checked our credit, he claimed, though my credit watch never alerted me (which they always do). I believe he uses an older and cheaper (for him) version, which gave him an old score. Strike number one.

Came back and said my score was too iffy, and I had no rental history (their lame form asks only for your most recent home and ours is an ownership).

They asked for $120,000 upfront—a year's worth of money due to "iffy credit and no rental history." I am 58 years old. Do you think I've never rented in my life?

We pulled together some rental history. He never checked them.

Strung my agent along for a week saying he was checking, didn't have an answer yet, blah blah blah. Unlike this guy, my agent is a real pro, and this was a total waste of his time, too.

When my agent pointed out this site and how many complaints were against him, he said it was a scam. My agent got us all on the phone, and it's apparent this guy has no idea what he's doing and is a real jerk—rude and dismissive.

Although he had just texted my agent an hour before saying he was still checking on our app, on the phone, he said we had been denied a week ago.

Oops. Forgot to tell us.

He also BROKE THE LAW by not disclosing this was his father's home he is renting.

I am contacting my bank to claw back the $200 this thief and scam artist took from us.

We are reporting him to every relevant organization as well. If he even has a RE license, it needs to be revoked.

Another employment SCAM! From Ms. Miller Boise of Intel Corporation (They tried this before using a different company name.)

This time it’s in a text message, last time it was via email.
From telephone number: 1.669.223.1785

Message: Hello Patricia, I am Ms. Miller Boise from Intel Corporation (INTC). Your resume which was posted online (CAREERBUILDER) has been reviewed and approved by our recruiting team and has been forwarded to the HR desk of Intel Corporation, and we are very pleased with your listed qualifications and would like to conduct an on-line interview to discuss the duties within the job, along with the pay scale for the following Remote Opening Positions: (HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A RUN-ON SENTENCE LIKE THIS ONE!?)

Positions: Logistics and Management, Payroll Clerk, Administrative Clerk, Customer Service and Data Entry

The pay is $32-$45/hour, training and orientation is $20 per hour.
The company will be providing you with all the necessary working materials needed for the job (Full time or part time) are you still interested in the remote job positions?

(First of all I keep track of every position I apply for and I never applied to Intel Corp. Secondly they will string you along in a Teams interview never able to turn on their camera, or email you directly from their Intel email account and cannot speak to you over the phone.)

In the end they will entice you with a high paying position, inform you that you will be meeting with your local company contact. BUT, in order to get ALL THE NECESSARY WORKING MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THE JOB, you will need to fill out the W2 Forms, Sign the Offer of Employment Letter and PROVIDE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT ROUTING NUMBER AND ACCOUNT NUMBER and YOUR LOGIN AND PASSWORD so that they can keep track of how you are spending the money they send you.

IT'S ALL A SCAM. IF IT’S TOO GOOD TO BELIEVE…DON’T BELIEVE IT! I was seconds away from scanning all my completed and signed forms to them and then thought, WHY WOULD THEY REALLY NEED MY LOGIN and PASSWORD. There has never been an employer in my employment history that has ever asked for this kind of information. THEY DON’T WANT TO TRACK HOW YOU ARE SPENDING THE MONEY, they say they will be depositing to your account for laptops, printers, etc. THEY WILL BE EMPTYING YOUR ACCOUNT.

I had dealing with Drake 2 years ago when I rented 7401 Ivory Ter. It was a house I had to fill out an app before seeing the house and I was a little uneasy about it. I paid the 178.00 89.00 per adult and I got my results back later that day that I had been approved but at the time my credit was around 580 so the owner decided he would rent to use but raise the rent from 895.00 to 995.00 which was fine I went and signed the lease with the owner in fact signed a two year lease but much like all these reviewers I felt like there was some sketchy crap especially when they told me the 178. Would come off the first months rent and that we had to go ahead once approved and pay the firsts, lasts rent and deposit for a house I had never even see the inside of except in pics online so I looked up the address online through tax appraisers office and found the owners name then I search for the owners address and phone number and made contact with the owner very nice man and everything went great I picked up the keys from the house as the tenants they vacated the course left the keys under the mat of the house. I had a great experience but again I was feeling like everyone else so just do your research a lot of times they don’t tell you why your denied because someone else’s app for the same house was already approved u need to ask if there are already applications and how many? And how long ago they were submitted if more than a day or two ago then wait for a day and see if it’s still avail it’s a game of chance remember everyone is looking for a place to rent so everyone is paying the fee and submitting applications but they have many other rentals just ask them to submit ur application to another house they will do it. I am a real person and I assure u what I experienced wasn’t a scam at all

These people are scammers. They show houses for rent that people are still living in them for years. They wont let me see the place before application process That's a huge flag for me. I drove by the house and it looked lived in. When company said they were moving out immediately, I went back to said property and they said they had no intentions to leave and it was most likely a scam. There are all types of people in the world. You scam sick people old people out of money and don't even care. When we called to report this to the company, the lady on the phone cussed me out and hung up on me. Their language and demeanor match their company. If they can scam old people and single mothers and families on section 8, they have no soul. When they told me to contact "Bob" there is no "Bob" I would rather see them shut down then get my money back. "Well we've been in business for 20 years and not going anywhere" If that's the kind of business you do then that's the a shame you have to scam people to make a living. Do they even have a conscious ? I didn't pay them anything I just wanted to report that these people would steal from people and single mothers and sick elderly. They need to be shut down.

I was communicating with a Josephine who would never return answers to simple questions. When I reached out again I was connected to Emma who would not listen and actually hung up on me. So when I reached out to complain and speak to Mr Wagner I spoke to Pam who was the manager

She never got back to myself so I started digging even deeper. Turns out Pam is online under Easy street rentals also.

Homes are listed as occupied and do not disturb.

BBB only has 1 complaint so now I will have to get another started

They are listing houses that are already rented out just to collect the application fee which is $89. You apply and they tell you that you’re not approved. I rode past a couple of the rentals they have listed and people are already occupying the property.. this is definitely a scam to get the application fee. The number listed is used by a man named Bob. The number on the listing I called a lady named Joseline answered and told me to use her as a reference she also was very rude. Do not waster your time with them.

We have the same story as below. Same website and phone numbers 813-563-0644 Sarah and Bob 813-563-0644. They listed a property on S Dale Mabry that they are not truly involved with as I spoke wit Lokation who truly has the listing. We paid 178.00 through an app they texted and we were denied because they said my birthday was listed as December 2022 and apparently I’ve not been born yet. I’m filing a police report and have already file a BBB report. They need to be in jail!

Update! This person is assuming the identity of “Bob Wagner” falsely as Robert Wagner is the true real estate agent. Robert Wagner is legitimately the agent with Lokation Realty. This person at 813-563-0644 is posing as “Bob”. I’ve filed a complaint with the FBI and if you have been scammed I encourage you to do the same. When I told “Bob” I filed this with the BBB and FBI he laughed out loud and said “yeah, have them call me” and hung up on me.

I live in Tampa, FL and I applied to rent an apartment via privaterentalhouses.com. I googled "private rentals in Tampa" and that is how I found this website. The prices were reasonable and I realized they have properties all over the Tampa Bay Area. It seemed legitimate. With each property listed, this company has a YouTube video that tours you through the property. I found a property that fit my needs, but I didn't want to complete the application until I spoke with a real person from the company. I called the number on their website (813-474-7410) and spoke with a woman named Pam. She said they offer month-to-month leases, which is what I was looking for. She told me to submit the application online and make sure I select her name on the application as the person who helped me. She told me there were no move-in deposits, but she wasn't sure how long that promotion would be going on, so she advised I complete the application soon. She told me it would take 2-3 business days to receive notice of approval or denial to live in the property. It said on the application to submit your last 4 pay stubs and a picture of identification to "[email protected]." So I did that. I received a call 3 business days later from a man named Bob Wagner and he said he was giving me a courtesy call to let me know my application was denied. I'd like to add that I make over $85,000/year, have no criminal history and the rent was only $1,100/month. I asked why I wasn't approved and he said "I cannot tell you why. You will receive a letter in the mail outlining why you weren't approved." I asked to refute the denial and requested a manager. He said he was the manager. I requested to speak to the owner. He said the owner is named Robert Wagner and not to bother contacting him because he's going to tell me the same thing. I truly think he made that name up as it is very close to his name. Bob began having an attitude and said there's nothing I can do about this and to find somewhere else to live. I found it so strange that he was copping an attitude when I was asking normal questions about why I wasn't approved and if I could do anything about it. I then called Pam to ask her if she knew why I wasn't approved. She said she doesn't have anything to do with the approval process and that she would send me some more properties available to rent. She also suggested I call Bob back to ask if that meant I was denied for all their properties, or just the one I selected on my application. I called Bob back and left him a voicemail, but he never returned my call! It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't received a letter outlining why I wasn't approved. I've never in my life been denied an apartment application. I went back to their website to look for an office address, but they don't even have one listed. Red flag! Their application fee was $89 and it is clear they are scamming people. I want to report them as the application asks for your SSN, DL, and other personal information so I'm sure they are using that information to steal identities, open credit cards, etc. I plan to contact 8 On Your Side WFLA about this as well to give as much publicity to this scammer. I also tried to leave a review, but since they don't have an office address, you can't leave a review on Google and there's no place to leave a review on their website either. There is no email address or any form of contact other than their phone number on their website. I should have realized this before I submitted my application. I'd like my $89 back. This was a fraudulent scam.

I applied to one house. Like everyone else, was denied due to whatever so was out like $150. I can't afford to be applying to many places. I've been searching for several months to no avail. In fact...the house we originally applied for is still up! Please people... whoever applies to this website... DON'T DO IT! You will be broke and sorry.

I was given 2 different checks from a company called NUIX to buy equipment to work from my home. To say the least 1 of the checks bounced , I m out 4850.00 the other check was also fraudulent and was never credited to my account. To say the least, I still have not recovered my money

Saw property on web. Applied with $89 fee sent on 1/7/22. I have receipt. Owner is Drake Wagner. I belatedly looked them up on scampulse.com and saw they are probably a fraudulent company. Today Zumper.com sent me an email alert saying they disabled this company's account and took down the listings due to fraudulent activity. I would like my money back. They said they won't send it back. My son experienced the same thing a few days earlier.

Robert Wagner with the above email is legitimate. I’ve verified his information, however, “Bob” at privaterentalhouses.com is NOT even “Bob”. That website is a fraud.

Called an ad for a rental property that I reviewed on line. Received a message from Pam that if interested to do an application. Fee by was $89 per adult. _did the application and paid the fee. They do needed proof of income emailed that to them. Was told we would hear something in 2-3 business days. Never heard anything. Tried texting, calling, no one will return my calls or text msg.

I paid for my mom and me for the application a total of $ 178. They told me that the game was fine and they sent an email with a link for an administration fee that we also paid. They told me that everything was fine and that they are going to send me the contract so that we can move and mysteriously it has not arrived. I call mike and he doesn't answer the phone, he goes straight to voicemail. I find it outrageous that they dedicate themselves to this type of scams, it is true that they do not know or care in the situation that one can find one to look for an income and that these things happen to you

Like many others I wasted my money filling out the application before realizing it's a scam. No business email no business website no real walkthroughs offered.

The owner of privaterentalhouses is Drake Robert Wagner. He does a mix of legitimate leasings, but for whatever reason, he does not take down property listings/leaves them up and still processes application fees for them. In order to not slander him, I will not say he is committing application fee scams; the reviews speak for themselves. Just thought I’d let everyone know who the owner of the website/company is since apparently he likes to go by “Mike” and “Pam”. He has been doing this since he got his real estate license in 2019. I will post links of his information (Real estate license information, Zillow reviews confirming he is owner of privaterentalhouses and the mix of negative “fishy” reviews since he obtained his license). I personally have reported him to the IC3, BBB & FTC. His real estate corporation employer is US Realty Hub which I will also link below. Also linked is his YouTube channel where he posts “financial freedom” videos…. Ironic (;

There are other conspirators, however there is unfortunately not enough information about them associated with privaterentalhouses/rentahomefastllc to pinpoint them. I urge everyone to stay safe & read online reviews before submitting applications & authenticating information.

Really glad I googled this company before putting in an application or sending them any kind of money. I inquired about a house for rent today and got an email response from someone named Dave with a link to a YouTube walk through video and another link to apply. It all seemed way too easy and too good to be true, so I simply googled the address I was looking into. Turns out this house is actually for sale by a realtor, and not for rent by this company. I texted Dave back to ask how they could be renting out a place that's for sale by another company, and of course, he has yet to respond. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS COMPANY, PLEASE.

I saw a rental apartment on line and called the number provide and talked to a guy name Gene, after he told me to contact a lady name Donna and in the meantime I went to the apartment and see was it vacant and look in the window and apparently it was people living in them both upstairs and downstair apartment, and it was plants the balcony upstairs, and the downstairs apartment it was cigarettes on a table, and I knock on both windows and no answer and it was two cars in the yard a boat and it seem like someone was living in both.

Definitely a scam. Had the same experiences as all others on this site. Gave them my money and then received a call that I had been denied but could not give a reason why. No evictioins, credit around 700 and have been at my job for 10 years. Next step is better business bureau. Has anyone had any luck getting their money back?

Did you have any luck getting your money back? I'm in the same situation as you :/

I identified a rental property of interest on Realtor.com. I used the contact us button and called and left a message regarding the property. I received a call back from Pam stating that she was the rental agent. I asked if the property was still available for rent and she said yes but a few people have called about it but no one has completed the application. I asked if I could schedule a viewing and she said due to covid all viewing are online. They are only showing the property to folks with an approved application. She stated it was a good time to apply because they are running a special to waive the deposit if your approved. She said it only takes 2-3 business days for approval. She kept insisting that I needed to complete the application and be sure to check her name Pam Brown as the person I spoke with. Then she said if you do the application right away I will also refund your application fee if approved. Then I hung up and completed the application and paid $267 application fee. I received a call today from Bob stating that my application was denied due to rental history and credit score. I said that is impossible my rental history is perfect, my credit score is over 750 and i earn 12x the rent. He went on and on about the reports they have. Sounded like a very canned response and I continued to argue that is impossible. I then told him the online reviews must be correct that they are a scam. I told him I wanted my money back and I was going to dispute the charge with the bank, file a complaint on this company online, and with FBI and BBB. He said go ahead. THIS COMPANY APPEARS LIKE A LEGITIMATE BUT IS TAKING FOLKS APPLICATION FEES AND GIVING BOGUS DENIALS.
