Yes the fact that they off ‘too good to be true’ pay and cannot speak proper English was my first signal. Then the website they forwarded directed me at theirs was to a battery company in Japan. Cancelled the conversation and removed all apps related. From now on now job responses to people requiring a special app.

God bless KurstenF. The recruiter was very positive. But once I got on with the interviewer, it wound out exactly as she (KurstenF) said. I'm leery of online anyway, so when she asked the 19 questions (Said her name was "Mrs. Jasmine D. Andrea"), my "BS-O-Meter" was fully charged. When we got to the bank questions, I told her that I wouldn't be giving her my account info. I told her since I wanted a check, she had no need for that info. I said I would open a separate account to deposit their checks. She said they needed it to "verify my earnings", I said fine-that I would send a scan of it with my personal info blacked out. Wanted to know if I had credit cards (Told her no bc it's none of her business anyway). Meanwhile, after reading what all of you wrote, I got more & more nervous. She finally said, "Well, I guess you really don't want to work here." I said "I guess not after reading your reviews-see ya!" My god! What are we supposed to do? In the online interviews I've done in the past, I've NEVER been on one where you can't see them and I had to ask for her name and even the name of the company. I thank god for all of you, you probably saved me from financial grief. Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. Dead giveaway when you put in the name of company in search engine, and the FIRST thing to pop up is bad experiences. Thank you, guys. And thanks KurstenF!
Good luck to all of us. Guess we're gonna need it.
The only change is now $31.00/hr instead of $41.

First, thank you to all on this forum. I read and took no BS. I told "whoever" (She said her name was "Mrs. Jasmine D. Andrea") and she asked a series of 19 questions exactly like KurstenF warned about. I told her I would take a check, and she had no need to know my accounts bc I would set up a separate one for their checks. She said it would be to "verify employment earnings". I said I would copy my bank statements and black out what I would keep private. Evidently, that wasn't good enough. She "got snippy" and said that I really don't want to work there. I said, "See ya." The recruiter was nice, but who cares? I am not used to online interviews, so I was leery anyway. My god! How do we know what's real and what's not? Good luck out there! Thank God and prayers to all of you out there! You probably saved me from a great deal of grief. Have a nice weekend!

You'll receive a text message with an introduction and asking if you're interested, stating they found your portfolio on a website. The message seems automated but it isn't because they reply right away. They'll ask you what position you want then request a meet on either Zoom Team chat, Google Meet Chat, signal, microsoft office chat, or Skype to do a job briefing and interview. It'll proceed like a normal interview but all via text. You may ask about when will you do a call over phone or a face cam but they'll continue with the script. After asking you to introduce yourself they'll give you a rundown of the company and a vague explanation of what they do, positions and responsibilities, and flexibility. Which is prompted immediately by your continued responses. They will move on to interview questions which seem normal until they ask you about credit card debt, how you normally get hired to jobs, your mobile service, banking company, and filing your taxes. Saying they will forward the interview to Head of Department which takes 15-20minutes they suggest (we all know they don't get back to you that quickly ever). They'll congratulate you that you've received the job then bring up employee equipment and services you'll be needing to which they start asking for your banking information so they can send you a check.

If you ask about where they found your information they'll tell you. If you ask for HR they will say they'll relay the message personally so everything is through that one person. No calls l, no nothing from any other individuals. If you express your uncomfortness about the process their slogan is "Process isn't a dirty word at Privatege and we're not afraid to evolve it.", and proceed to continue with their script. Mention someone is using them to scam others they'll pretend they don't know and tell you to report it.

These scammers have been targeting job seekers on Linkedin and Indeed. They send them a phony check to "buy supplies" but when the check doesn't work, ask the job seeker to send $500 back to the "company". The phone number is a Google phone -- they might not even be in the US though they pose as US companies.

Scammer offered job and then advised to make a deposit with an echeck. I contacted the company named on the check and was advised this is a scam
