I got a call from an unknown number 9:45am, on May 20th 2025. It was from a completely different country from the state that I live in. He left a message on my phone's answer machine, He said that he was from a Process Server, and that he had got an order delivered to his office. Didn't state what the office name was. He had my first name and possible my last name. He said it was a curtesy call to let me know I am being served at my place of employment on Friday. And he gave his name as Terry. He didn't pressure me, per say, into giving any information. I didn't answer the call. I don't usually answer unknow call's mainly because I get a lot of them, for over thirty years. But his voice had a sense of urgency to it. Like I said I was sound asleep when he called. It scared me. Don't know if it is real or not.

I got two calls in a row from different numbers. I answered the second one, already annoyed because i knew it was probably from the same place since i dont get many calls. The person asked for me by first name only and i asked who this was and where they were calling from. He said he was with some intermediary company trying to ensure that i received documents sent to my home, because they had not received a response and threatening that if they didnt receive a response that i would be subpoenaed by a process server. I asked what address they were sent to and he had my home address. I told him i had not received any documents and asked what this was about. He refused/claimed he did not know and i would have to reach out to "Halston & Associates" to find out what the complaint against me even was. I told him he sounded like a scammer and he got mad and said i would just have to answer to a judge. I again asked "for what tho?!" This makes no sense. And he kept circling back to threatening me with court if i didnt respond, so i was just like send me the documents then, because i havent seen them and i cant respond to something i havent seen. If this was a legit case, they wouldnt be calling me, i would have documentation.

Almost immediately after hanging up, i received this text message:

When i searched this number i immediately found a description of what happened to me as well as a paypal scam. This is ridiculous.
