- Albuquerque, NM, USA

I was given a sudden offer for a job interview for a remote data entry position via text message, and they said I had to interview right away via Telegraph. I accepted the interview, set up Telegraph, and was interviewed. The interview happened suspiciously quickly and only asked 11 questions via chat messages. I answered them, including several questions that in retrospect raise red flags but that I did not notice in the heat of the moment. The pay seemed suspiciously high in retrospect as well, alongside the offer to send me everything I need for work at home. I accepted the initial offer but have since rescinded my acceptance. I did not give them my bank information thankfully but my phone number, address, and name as well as my email were handed over. I had an anxiety attack this morning when I realized that I didn’t remember applying to this job and that they had approached me instead, though it was the sudden turnaround of the interview that had me really rattled. As such I did some research, and realized that a Hiring Manager at Proctor and Gamble would have to have a LinkedIn Page, that unexpected interviews are a major red flag, and that the entire offer was a major scam.
