Total money lost $113
Type of a scam Online Purchase
I saw an ad on Facebook for what looked like a nice ski suit for a reasonable price. I clicked on it and came to a website that appears to be an outdoor sports clothing and accessory company with a lot of really nice photos of their merchandise. The website states 100% Risk Free purchase so I went ahead and placed an order for a men’s ski suit for $113. (01/07/21)
The order took quite a while to receive. We did receive the item on 2/16/21 which came delivered to me with a return name and address of
LEE
147-03 182st
Jamaica, NY 11413
However, I suspect the item actually came from China and it was not at all what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a thick ski suit and it is very thin (not warm for Minnesota and it seriously looks like it might have cost them $3) and also the size is very tiny for me even though I used their size chart and ordered a 3X. I’m normally maybe an XL.
I followed their instructions to request a refund via sending an email to
[email protected]
and explained the situation and asked for a refund. They emailed me back indicating that sending it back may cost too much time and money so would we like to keep the item and give it to a friend or relative and they will give us 10% off our next order. Of course I did not accept this as an adequate refund. After at least a dozen more emails they offered to give us 70% refund. (ps. Still haven’t seen that refund). Even if we do somehow manage to get the partial refund, I feel that the entire website is a misrepresentation of the items offered. It is seriously a joke how different the item looks from what was in the photos on the website, and I certainly would not call their refund methods trustworthy. False advertising and false representation of return policy. I would like to warn other consumers to never order anything from them and if possible, stop them from doing business since what they are selling is nowhere near what they are advertising.
