they put up information for places to rent. ask you to go to their location and then ask you to pay a $200.00 fee for them to help you find a place to rent or live.

after you pay. all they do is get random numbers from the internet that any person could do and dont even help you like they say they will. like talking to the landlord or the person renting. they promised to help me find a place then after gave me the run around about it.

This company says if you pay them $200 they will give you listing of houses that are available for rent. What they actually do is go online and find out addresses of places that are for rent and that's what they give you once you give them the $200. They say that the money is to put the place on hold and off the market while you decide what you want. So what happens is you get the addresses to houses they send you to look at them from the outside, if you like it you call them back and let them know what houses you liked so they can then schedule an appointment with the actual landlord. What happens is that when you tell them what you like they never get you that appointment with the actual owner cause they don't really deal with the owners. They just then give you the runaround, ignore your calls, or just simply hang up on you. That is exactly what they did with me and apparently others who also fell for their scam just like I did. You do have an option to get your money back, but of course they only refund you $150 out of the $200 cause they say they charge a $50 service fee, even though they never help you all they do is give you addresses to houses already announced online. I decided to report them because I think it's unfair for them to lie to people especially when it's people like me who struggle to earn every dollar. I'm sure people get desperate especially when you have been asked to move out for whatever reason and you really think these people are gonna help you. It is very disgusting to me to see how people like this can live their life's when they know they are only taking people's money away. I don't understand how they can look you in the eye and lie to you , and continue to live their life's like nothing. I really hope BBB can check up on these companies and put a stop to it. Thank you

A business called Progressive City home Rentals in Baldwin Park has been scamming people for over a year.

They take 200$ and promise to help you get appointments to see homes but never call you. I contacted other people that were taken advantage of as well. I reall want to shut these people down as they are rude too and dont give me theyre full names when i ask. They scam people over and over and dont do what they promise too
