Once there, they said would only give $1.00 per SIX items brought, and would only give $8 for the items. Far cry from the $100 the email and flyers state. WHAT A SCAM!! To get you to the casino, doing a good deed for the needy, and then scam the customer who is trying to help the needy.
Shame on you Marissa and Ocean Downs Casino.
Marissa - promotion manager - said that the item (Ramen noodles) was not a good quality item. She made the list. She said that she would not accept
as they are not an individul item and can come in large packs. Each item has its own UPC code and rings up a price. You can buy them individually at the dollar store for $1.25 each. They can certainly do mailings, emails etc telling about this event, but do not seem to be able to send out anything stating they changed their minds. (Too many people were bringing them in)
People, like myself, went and purchased many many of these items for several weeks and then had to return them all to the store. The store took them back, however they now have to discard as they can not restock food that left the store due to safety concerns. So, all this product is now going to waste. MANY patrons were in this same situation.
