A note was stuck to my front door that appeared to be a missed delivery notice. I just moved to my house and not many people have my address and I was not expecting a package so I thought it was odd. I noticed there was wording on the back of the note that specified if I called the phone number on the front I was agreeing to allow the business to use my information for marketing. That's when I googled the company name and noticed that the real "Metro Delivery" had very different information. The real metro delivery's website is a .com, the fake is a .info. I called the real company and they said they have been getting similar phone calls from all over the United states and told me to call the local authorities and report it. I used a "who is" website lookup to track down who owns the domain name of the fake website (the fake website only has one word on it) and it tracks back to a person and business in Arizona. Although I live in Tulsa Oklahoma I think the Arizona ScamPulse.com would be the more appropriate person to notify as the scam company is being operated out of that state. It appears this scam company wants people to believe they need to call to receive a package but what they are really doing is inadvertently agreeing to let the company include their information on marketing contact lists. This is not an honest way to conduct business.
