I went to a business where two women pretended to be a psychics and fortune tellers. The whole time they were asking me specific information like full name, favorite numbers, phone, trying to illicit more and more personal information. They tried to convince me I had a family curse and I was surrounded by a dark aura, also I needed to pay them for a money cleansing ritual. It would be a few sessions of 150 each starting that day. They were very forceful and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

I was scammed by a man who claimed to attend the Hindu Temple and claimed to be a Psychic.

I am 54 years old and a black woman and have been struggling for a long time in the US. I know people who went to Psychics that were on point with revealing things to them. I got curious and went to this man who is a Psychic..

He gave me a reading and after the reading he started scaring me saying there are three ghosts that wanted to kill me and said I have to go home and get $3,500 the same day to destroy the ghosts and I would see how much my life would improve. He also said I would win the lottery. Because I was so afraid I took $3500 of my small savings and gave it to him.

I haven't been working and was desperately looking for a relief from struggling for many years. The fear of losing my money, and being on the street was scary.

When I went back to his place he did some prayers and said he will have to catch the three ghosts and go to the Temple to pray for me. I visited him a few times. Then eventually he said he caught all three ghosts. Several weeks after that my life did not get better. He did not even call me to check with me. Months passed I did not see any improvement in my life. So I call him to tell him my life has not been improving but getting worse.

He called me back to his place and told me that the ghosts are very bad and were not actually destroyed but getting stronger, and will kill me and I would have to get $4,500 the same day. He said he would have to get all the money to buy stuff to destroy these bad ghosts. He claimed he was doing it for me and did not want my money. He said I should not worry about the money my life would change dramatically ; I will have, success health, money etc.. He then teased me and ask me when I win the lottery how much would I give him and said he just want a small amount for the Temple.

I went home and got almost the last of my savings $4,000 because he said he would have to get it the same day so I have to take the train and the bus to get to him, it was also quite late.

When I reached he counted the $4000 and said he has to get the other $500 to start working to destroy the ghosts because they are strong and will kill me (he sounded frightened and afraid for me). He said I should wire the other $500 for him to start working immediately. He also was asking me to meet at a Temple in NJ to give him the money. I end up paying $50 to wire the remaining $500 to him.

Months have passed he would say the next 2 months my life would turn around, then the end of the 2 months nothing happened .. It has almost been one year and four months and my life has been much worse than before I saw this man.

I keep calling him back trying to hold him on his words he kept saying I shouldn't worry. I realize that

this man has no conscience or empathy for me even after he took my $8000.

When I called him and give him good reason for getting my money back he just brush me off like I'm nothing to him and proceed to tell me about his wife and child.

I am a woman that worked extremely hard and this man did not care when I told him this was almost all of my savings and I could be homeless.

This is a heartless and cruel act if its coming from someone in the Hindu Temple. Its like a heartless person that just come and rip away all I have and don't care if I die! its hurts!. I feel traumatize by this act because I need my money but I'm also scared to get it back I am suffering!

I met Sheela (her real name is Donna Miller) April 2021. She asked me for my full name date of birth place of birth and wanted to know exactly how much money I had in the bank and my assets. She gave me a tarot card reading and said I would marry the man I am with but thst there are many obstacles and the first thing was to lift off a curse that would never allow me to get married to anyone or be happy. She said a woman in my family put a curse on my mom but it fell on me instead and I had to pay her thousands of dollars immediately or my man would leave me. She also said that my man and i are surrounded by too many evil eyes and we needed protection or we can get hurt or split up and asked for thousands of dollars. Then after that there was a woman who put a curse on the man I am supposed to marry and needed thousands of dollars again or he would leave again. Then she made me buy wedding rings and clothes and perfume and needed money. I paid her cash and when I wanted to back off she said i was so close to where I want to be that if I stopped then I would be right back where I started. She said you have to finish what you start. I told her I don't have cash she said giftcards are acceptable. She also told me not to worry that money is not from god thst it is evil and i might not have it today but i will have it soon and im meant to have a comfortable stress free life and its coming. Then she said that some of my man's friends and family members are jealous and we had to do work so they mind their own business. My man left me and when I told her nothing is working she said it would fall in place there are no refunds. I gave her $40,000 total in cash and giftcards.i am in major credit card debt because of this. This was between April 2021 to now. She told me I was her sister and that she would always be there to help as long as she is alive. Then she asked if I can loan her $1,500 for her kids to eat because her husband's work check bounced and she would pay me in a month. She never returned my money. Then I realized she wasn't returning my calls or texting me back. She would text back a week later really angry and mean. I was getting anxiety, because nothing is working and I'm in major debt. I said to her if you can't help me then please tell me and at least let me know when I can ask for my money. She blocked me. I called from another number she answered and she realized it's me and hung up. I called from another number and acted like a new person who had work problems. She immediately said there was jealousy and work needs to be done and she can help. She happily made an appointment the same day.
