Rec'd letter on 10/23/2023stating I had won $1,500,00. Needed to contact Agent Dave Sayer @ 929-695-2542 or 929-923-8722 with my claim # *************. Needed to answer the letter within 7 days. To avoid delay keep this award confidential until my claim is pro essed. Had a copy of cashier check from Publisher Clearing House very authentic looking. Called Publisher Clearing House thus morning and talked to a young man (Nick ?) who clarified it was a scam. He was hard to understand. I gave him only my address to verify my account # with PCH.

The caller wanted my elderly mom to go to Walgreens and buy a Visa card!! He told her he would meet her back at our house with 4 other people to fill out paperwork for a new Mercedes Benz, $5000/week for life and $5 million in the bank. She hung up twice. He kept calling back to pressure her. I overheard the conversation, and he did not want her to give me the phone. I hung up. He called back and I said I am reporting the number and to leave my mother alone. He has not called back. He gave her a prize claim number of j9091357000.

Publishers ClearingHouse Scam

I was notified I won one of the prizes offered by Publishers ClearingHouse. David Marshal, 888-949-9165, ref no: 00010619887. He had all my personal information, address, name, date of birth, social security number. Arrangements are being made to pay the 35% tax and will need $9,000 sent to Sarah Porter, 4213 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael, CA 9508. Like a fool, I did.

The federal reserve set up a checking account, 604097303, and call 929-470-1920 to arrange deposit of $3.5m. I called and to complete the transaction, a transfer fee of $425,430 be paid first. It was suggested I take out a loan then forward the fee. I don’t even have $2,500 to my name let alone qualify since the only income is social security.

To complete the transfer of funds, purchase an Apple Gift Card for $50.00 to register with the Federal Reserve before the funds can released. A P19 tax form will be emailed to be submitted. There is no such tax form. Final process to release funds 10/14. Any questions, call 888-668-6369. There’s a delay in financial processing.

Finally received a sweepstakes document, however checking with PCH, this is not a valid form asking for additional money. Sent from [email protected], 509-790-0134.

Claimed I won a prize, and all I needed was to purchase a gift card and write a # on the back of the receipt. Then said I needed to purchase another card for 499.00 and I said no, they insisted but I said no. They said they would call me back with more information, but they took my gift card money, and told me it was refundable because when I checked the card it was a 0 balance and I haven't heard back from them like they said.....

On Wednesday, October 4, 2023 I received a telephone call from Debra Hollins claiming to be an agent from Publishers Clearing House informing me that I had won $7,000 a week for life, plus a bonus of $150,000 and a 2023 Mercedes Benz car. She also used the following telephone number 844-621-2184 to contact me. I was told by her to ask for a password which she provided as M11cd to anyone who contacted me in the future in regards to my winning prizes. During our initial conversation, she asked me if I had received a letter from Publishers Clearing House in this matter. I said I never received any such letter. Debra Hollins then replied that two letters were sent and blamed the postal service for them getting lost; which she said was a release letter to accept the prize winnings.

PCH is a legitimate business for Sweepstakes. At first the scammers left a voice mail when they called. So, I returned the call along with the claim code . These lazy good for nothing are impersonating as if they were the real deal.I attached the Voice recorded script along with the number that they actually called from. The person tried to take control of the returned phone call. PCH needs to be notified. These scammers are out of this country, you can tell by the number and thick accent. Then the fool began asking me “‘So how are you going to get the $1,000. He said the thousand dollar is charged for the treasury department.Dum ********!

August 23rd or somewhere around that date, I received a call from a David Miller, informing me that I had won five thousand a week for life from the publisher clearing house sweepstakes. Afterwards he told me to expect a check in the mail. He would call everyday to see if the check had come. Then he told me the check would come from Mary Wood all, this sounded like some Sugar, Honey, Ice, and Tea, but I had to see it through. When the check came I did as requested, when I saw the check, I knew something was wrong. There's a lot of marking outs and no initials. I told him that I would not do anything with the check because it looked suspicious. Later on I received a call from the lady who wrote the check, sounded like a man to me, she kept telling me that the check was good, and to go on and deposit it, I refused and hung up on her. David called me back with the hour, and told me they would be issuing me a certified check to please shread the check I had. I called the number and it was no longer in service. I have not heard from them again, at least not using that name. Just yesterday, I got a call from a John Ryan, from the IRS, saying, if I don't except the prize, I will be penalized for the amount of the prize and taken to court I have blocked these people and the still find a way to call. Now when I hear that voice I just call him by the name he used before.

It was to be a certified cashiers check for 2.5 million dollars and a 2023 Chevy Malibu. He said that Debra Halden was going to be the person delivering it. He said that I needed a proper ID to show and a gift card in the amount of $95.00 to give to her. I ended up hanging up on him and blocked the number. I now see he tried to call me back 13 times after I hung up on him!
