A guy named “Bob Wilson” called me saying I won the second place in publishers clearing house for $2.6 million and a Ford F150 truck. I won not through actual publishers clearing house, but by a random phone number picked in Idaho. He gave me a winning ticket number of 430981725700 ID also gave me a phone number to call 516-274-9478. He said since I won, another number is going to call me and he’ll be on the line as well and that was the number that I provided. He said since I won prize patrol was coming today but they already took care of the taxes and I need to pay them in a $500 one vanilla card.

So I asked if I was understanding this correctly, and I had to pay prize patrol the tax in the form of a gift card? And he replied, yes, and I said shame on you, you know you shouldn’t be scamming people out of money. He then started to argue with me that he was not scamming anyone and this is real. I responded, saying the prize patrol does not take money for the IRS, then he really started getting upset so I just hung up on him.

A guy claiming to be named johnny moore called and said he was with publishers clearing house and we had one eleven million dollars and a new range rover

All contact was by phone except when I demanded documentation and that was then emailed to me.The Scammer, Mary, called me for the first time on 11/11/22 and introduced herself as representing the Publisher's Clearing House. She asked if I had received my winner notification in the mail and they had mailed it twice, but never received a response and that was why they were calling. Apparently I was selected randomly out of 1,000 people. I won $3.5 Million and a 2022 Mercedes Benz Sports car. I would be receiving $5000 a weekly for the rest of my life. She asked me to get two blank pieces of paper and then proceeded to give me the details of my winning, including a barcode #, confirmation#, winning ticket #. In order to set it up they now were having people purchase a pre-paid Visa gift card, or a One Vanilla Visa gift card, or Secure Spend gift card with a value of $500. (she later changed that to up to a $500 value when I wouldn't give her the $500 g.c. I bought). She said since Covid and because of of all the scams out there they no longer ask for bank account information. Instead their "merchant banker" would set up the card w/ a 4-digit pin and it would have $5k posted to the g. c. every week. I was given a choice of 4 colors for the car - I chose sky blue. I mention that because the documentation the later sent me indicated I was winning a pearl white Mercedes SUV. I was extremely skeptical and Mary was very good at convincing you otherwise and made a promise at least 8 times over the course of the phone calls that she would not be taking my money or food off my table. I had a $50 Visa prepaid gift card that I was given as a gift. I figured I could risk $50. She also talked all about the PCH Prize Patrol. She gave me the option of knowing in advance what day they would arrive at my doorstep. She then told me a Prize Patrol was scheduled to be in Alaska Monday, 11/14. After I gave her the $50 g.c. number she indicated she was going to have the Bank Merchant get it setup. Then she called me back and said it wasn't working so she had me activate it for online purchases but not designate a 4-digit pin. She called me again and said that still didn't work and maybe it was because it was over a year-old which I knew was incorrect. In the meantime I had researched PCH and their website. It substantiated that this might be a scam. That was when she tried pushing me to give her the $500 card number, expiration and 3-digit code. I refused so then she pushed hard on me to go purchase another one. I was fed-up at this point and told her to give me a couple of days to figure out what I wanted to do. That irritated her and she went into a whole speech about I was looking at things negatively and negativity brings negativity, etc etc etc. That was yesterday, 11/15/22. She has tried calling me 3 times today and left one voicemail for me to call her back. So when I got off the phone with her yesterday, I logged into the $50 g.c. balance website https://www.prepaidgiftbalance.com/ and unfortunately I wasn't surprised to see that a purchase in the amount of $45.50 had been made using my g.c. It was a purchase for merchandise at lovelywholesale.com. I had been suspicious partly because the documentation they sent me was full of typos and very unprofessional. Something I'm positive the PCH would not have published. At this point I will not accept any more calls. I just hope by reporting this others will not fall prey.
