Received call that I won publishers clearing house and gave me a number to call. I called it and was directed to desk of mr Dan chopper. That said I won $20,500,000 ANd a new Mercedes and texted a photo of the car and a briefcase of money. They wanted me to go to a dollar store and pay an irs few of $200.32. I would need the receipt to give to the driver when he came with my car and money. Later he referred to the winning as $3,000,000. He asked for my address and also for my middle name which is a family name and not spelled like it sounds. He did not ask me for the spelling. He hung up after I said I was checking with the better business bureau.

A foreign gentleman called stating that he was from Publisher's Clearing House stating that my Grandmother had won $5 million dollars. They asked her for all her personal information including name, address, social security number, and account numbers. He instructed her to go to her local dollar general and buy a Visa Vanilla card for $400 to receive her winnings. She gave them her prepaid debit card number and they used $400 off her card to pay for items online at Nordstroms.

It was a private message from a friend to sign up for a free grant. I messaged her back and she responded with a link to contract Heather Bowles. I acted immediately as my friend was saying that time and money were limited an I needed to get in touch with Heather ASAP. This was last night. Heather was trying to call me last night and I was unable to take the call. Conversation picked up this morning. I did apply for the grant. They responded in a short time that I had been awarded a $200,000 grant. It would be delivered by fedex with in 7 hours yet today. They sent verification info to show to fedex driver. Less than an hour later, they said I needed to purchase 3 cards, $500 each to go on, blah, blah, blah. I knew for sure I had been had. I finally reached my friend and she has no knowledge of the giveaway. She is new to FB and messaging. I then deleted information, but the bogus friend is still making inquiries of me.

They called me the number that I filed in this report. Then they gave me the same number to call after I hung up from the first call. It was a Jamaican guy that told me his name was Tony Washington. Watch out for this guy.

Paul Williams called evening of 5/18/2020. Said I had won 1.2 million dollars in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. I needed to call back at 10:30 a.m. the morning of the 19th. When I did so, Mr Williams insisted I had misunderstood him the previous evening. I had actually won 7.5 million dollars, $350,000 in cash and a New 2020 Mercedes Benz. However, because the total was more than 1 million dollars I needed to purchase a Stamp for the government. This would be $750 and I needed to go to Walmart or CVS to purchase two gift cards, $500 and $250, and call him when I had them. The Publishers Clearing House VAN would come to my house with the winnings and take the gift cards from me. This is the general conversation. I was able to get some of his conversation recorded on my iphone.

David Parker called and told her she had won $5.5MM and 2020 Mercedes Benz and $5000/wk Tthe more she asked the madder he became. The original call came in as "unknown". The 516# was given to them to talk to the manager because she told him she wanted an attorney to look over the paperwork. He was giving her lots of information but didn't get to the money part so she hung up on him twice. After the first time he asked "What's the problem?"

Received call 7:35am on Mother's Day, Sunday. Claimed I had won Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes for 1.5 million. I was to stay on the phone while I got dressed and went to Walgreens to buy $350 gift cards and then they would tell me where we could meet for them to give me my winnings. I knew it was a scam, so I laid the phone down and went about my business, pretending to be doing as instructed. The call was disconnected and they tried multiple times throughout the morning to get me back on the line, but I didn't answer again.

Posed as my sister on messenger saying they won publisher clearing house and said I could too. I believed it was my sister. The imposter sent my info to a supposed agent with PCH.They requested the tax on the winnings in gift card form. Saying once I sent that I qualified for my prize. I bought cards from Safeway and I sent the receipts through messenger. They wanted another 5k but I told them I didn't have it. I didn't know until my adult children came home that I was being scammed. I spoke to my sister that night and she told me she never messaged me. Her Facebook had been copied and I was friends with two other accounts that used her name. I sent them a copy of my license as they said it was required.

The person name was supposedly,. Billy Ranking. Badge #BR07076. Claims I won $42 million, all I have to do is call the 1st bank of America at 1.480.336.8337 opt 2. You get a recording saying that there is a wire transfer but it has a hold on it. They give you a temp account #. 2960059 and a 3 digit PIN. The recording says that you have to pay 1% about $5500 or a minimum of $1000 to complete the process. I hung up. The 1st person, Billy calls back, asked if I completed the call. They could have my prize delivered to my front door in a brown and white van within 1 1/2 hour.but I have to pay the registration fee first. Told him if it was on the up and up I would give him my lawyers # and he would handle everything for me. I expected him to hang up, but he did not. Still tried to get any kind of money, told him when the certified cashier's check cleared thentheycouldhave their money. Wellyouhave to payfirst. Told him didn't have any . Told him I was going to report him. Didn't seemed phased by it. So I called you guys. The call back #he gave me for him was 1.876.451.4972. he gave a claim# and everything. I should have hung up in the beginning but was bored so I thought I'd play.

The only thing that worries me is I heard what sounded like he dialed 3numbers while talking. Should I be worried.

the person left me a voicemail saying that I won, it was either $20 million or $200 million. they, themselves were not publishers clearing house directly, but maybe a law firm? or something. the message was a little distorted. and, lol, the caller yawned, yes, yawned, while talking!! I'm not sure if this is on the up and up as I contacted you, the BBB, before calling them

My mother is 87 years old and has been scammed more times than I care to remember, she is a sweet lady who talks to people and thinks she is being told the truth. She gets calls this couple of weeks from David Greene, Publishers Clearing House says she has won 2 prize but she needs to send $1.99 to get the prize mailed to her. She told them she does not drive and cannot get to bank and they offered to send a cab to pick her up. When I heard her telling someone about her bank I wanted to speak to them. They hang up. I have taken my mothers phone this morning and gotten several calls from them trying to speak to my mother. They then say she won a car, I told them she can't drive and does not need a car. She she won something just mail it as they already know her address. They tell me they are unable to mail it without paying for postage which is why they want $1.99. I have told them repeatedly that if she needs to pay a penny, then we are not interested. I control her accounts for this reason. They want my mother to tell them again to not call her back. I am livid and want something done!. I have blocked every number they have used and most recently they used a local area code but when I answered call was transferred to a number I had already blocked.
