On March 27,2023 I checked my phone messages on my cell phone and received a message from a number of 515-400-7221 the message stated it was from Publishers Clearing house. I had entered several times so I called the number. A lady answered and asked how did I receive the number. I stated by phone then she asked for my name and transferred me to a Mr John Baker who stated he was the sweepstakes coordinator and would be handling my winnings. He stated my name had been pulled by the computer and I had won 4.4 million dollars a 2023 Mercedes and 5,000 a week for the rest of my life but I needed to pay $500 dollars fee by purchasing a gift card In that amount and they would be at my house the same day. I stated that I did not have money to give away to win money. I said I live pay check to paycheck and didn’t have extra money. He said to give him a call back when I could get the money. I said by the 1st of the month and hung up. I checked the internet under John Baker and it stated that this was a fraud other persons had been called and stated similar information. I will not be calling back. But wanted other people to know this information. To much fraud going around. Needs to stop. This is the original number that was used to call my phone 516-400-7221. From Hewlett-Packard Bay NY. Couldn’t understand the man well he had a strong accent and the phone kept going in and out. Be aware people

I got a letter Saturday from Publishers Clearinghouse with a check for $7947 saying I had won. They said the check was to cover my out of pocket expenses that I would have before receiving my earnings. The letter said once I had cashed the check to call them for further instructions. The check was not from Publishers Clearinghouse so I called them to get more info. A man with a very heavy accent tried to explain the whole process but he was very hard to understand. Something didn't seem right to me so I called the BBB who told me this is a scam.

His name is George W. Williams (or at least that is what he said) he said he was General Claims Agent for Publishers Clearing House and I won 7 months ago and they were going to be at my house tomorrow morning with my prize money, just like on TV. He needed my debit card number so that he could deposit some money in my account to confirm the deal. I wouldn't give it to him and so he kept calling me back. Saying I was refusing my winnings and I told him no I am not, I will expect them tomorrow, I am just NOT giving you any of my account information. I told him I was reporting him to the ScamPulse.com and he stated that is ok it will come directly to my face book page......
