I received a phone call from 4707229550 on 2-6-22 in the afternoon. I answered the phone and he gave me his name, his name was David Anderson and he said he was calling to inform me that I was a second place winner. He asked if I got something in the mail, I got it but I just threw it in my mail pile, but I was able to put my hand on it. The one says second notice and the other says final notice. It says prize eligibility prize pending. The first one said pending and then I got another one after that one that says it's confirmed, but there was something else I had to send back, but I never mailed it. So, then I'm telling him all of this, and so he starts reading off what they were supposed to be bringing today. 2022 Mercedes Benz, a check for 1.5 million certified check, 400,000 cash in 100 dollar bills was going to be delivered in a suitcase today, and I would get 5,000 every week that would be deposited Friday. I never gave him a bank account. After that he told me all of this would be available today. He gave me two names, Ms. Mary Bell and ID # (that she was supposed to show me) 905-00212 and after the numbers I would see a USA sign. He told me the car would be on a red and white tow truck, it would have Express Delivery on the side and the driver's name would be Mr. John Baker ID#****** USA would be behind that. Then he goes on to tell me that I would need two things: a valid ID and then get this claimer's card. I asked him what was that. He said do you live by a Family Dollar. A claimer card you would ask for would be One Vanilla worth $300. When I got to question him about claimer's card, he said we have to have that, he said the woman would have a credit card type machine that I would have to give them the number before they could give me anything. Ms. Bell would have a card machine. I called him back today to see if he was going to stick to his lie. This morning he said if you have the card you can just give me the number. I said why don't I just wait to give it to them and they can give it to you, and we kept going back and forth. He kept trying to convince me and I'm aggravated, and I'm telling him at this point it's a scam, and I said why don't I call my lawyer. I said when they get here with what they are supposed to bring I'll call you. I got upset and hung up. First he said they would be here 2pm today 2-7-22 yesterday (2-6-22) and then today he said 12pm when he thought I had this card.

Unfortunately this took place about a month ago and I didn't know who I should report it to until I saw an article on the news last night.

MY husband received a call from someone who claimed to represent Publisher's Clearinghouse. They told my husband that he had won millions of dollars plus a 2020 Mercedes. After getting my husband all excited about this they then sent an e-mail from what was suppose to be Publisher's Clearinghouse giving him information on his winnings. They then told him he would have pay I believe it was $3,000.00 in order to receive his prize so my husband said he didn't have $3,000.00. So the man said how much do you have? So my husband said when they deliver the prize then he would give them some money. So when my husband kept saying this the man hung up.

I believe the call came from Utica or Brewster, New York. I hope no one else fell for this.

I am 84 years old. I received a call yesterday afternoon from Publisher's Clearinghouse, 662-554-4506. I returned his call. He was very insistent, he said I won 1.5 million by cashier's check, and $7000 a week for the rest of my life, and a Mercedes Benz. I thought it was real, they were so sincere, they asked me what I was going to do with the money. He was very religious sounding, he said God is blessing you, He wants you to have this special gift to relieve you of your burden. But at the end of the call, he wanted me to go to Walmart and send him $300. He was very serious and gave me a lot of numbers. He said I will get my money back. He said it was a fee that I would get back when I get my winnings. I said I don't have $300, he said they could wait till tomorrow. I said I don't have it. He asked me when I got paid, and I said a week and a half, he said to call back then and he would give me the winnings then. He said I promise you this isn't a scam.
