You receive a call from PCH informing you that you have won a large prize that will be presented to you today, but you have to send money via Western Union to pay the 'IRS Registration Fee' in order to claim the prize.

Business contacted the consumer and said they were with the Publisher's clearing house. They said to go to Dollar General and get a My Cash Scratch card and put $180.00 on it and mail it to an address. The business had the consumer's name, number, last four of the social security number, and his home address.

- Desoto, TX, USA

Publishers Clearing House:

The consumer was contacted by the business, "Publishers Clearing House, " and told they won. The consumer was told there would be a check in the mail and to deposit the check once they received it. The consumer did deposit the check once they received it and the check was for $8,900.00. The business said they were going to send someone out to their house to hand deliver the check. The consumer has not spent any of the money however, the consumer's son is not aware of any personal information if it was given or not. The consumer has not sent in any money to the "Publisher's Clearing House."
