Initial means of contact Not applicable
puppy in Pennsylvania, the puppy was purchased through a
website called Fallow Fields miniature Schnauzers
(https://fallowfieldschnauzers.com). I made a request on the
website for more information, and a man named Simon
Eugena, contacted me via text message information about
the dog and that she was available. He stated that he could
ship the dog to the San Antonio International Airport, where I
could pick her up. He had me sign a contract with
guarantees of refund if the puppy died or it did not work out.
The contract has his address, phone number, and signature
After this was signed and sent back to Simon,
He provided me with 3 methods of payment:chime, zelle, or
Amex gift card. I had never used Amex gift card, but he
"walked" me through it. After he received the information he
needed, he stated he would send the flight information by
the next day. He did not contact me the next day and I had to
reach out to him regarding flight info. He responded that
they decided to ship the dog on Thursday (11/16) and
would send me the info. Thursday morning, he sent me an
email with the tracking order for the flight. The link took me
to a website called PF express pet
(https://pfexpresspet.com/track-form/) and gave
information stating the times the dog was to be on flight and
when she would arrive. 30 mins later, I receive another email
from the same company stating the dog could not fly
until she had active pet insurance, which would be another
$1 198 for insurance + $42 for insurance tax. They assured
me 1 would be refunded the $1198 back once the dog arrived
at the airport, either by cash or check. After that happened,I
realized it had all been a scam and I refused to pay that
amount. He threatened that this dog was now my
responsibility to provide the insurance, since I had already
purchased her, but I refused to pay anyway. Since then, I
have not been able to get a hold of either company.I
reported the incidence to my American Express Credit Card,
in which I used to pay for the gift card payment, but they
stated they could not help me because I did receive a gift
card from AMEX gift card, but because I chose to share that
information, I was at fault. I also have called Amex gift card
to see if I could obtain any assistance, but I am still awaiting
a callback. I am not hopeful this will be resolved, but I would
like to warn others so they don't become a victim too. Both
of these websites are still active on the web and need to be
shut down.
