Scammer called and emailed my son with documents and details for paying a "fully refundable" fee of $1,500 to cover pet travel insurance, for a dog my son was purchasing and having shipped from Schnauzer Cornerstone in Cape Coral, FL. Scammer claimed the insurance was a USDA requirement for shipping pets younger than 6 months via air. We called the USDA who said there is no such thing as a requirement for pet insurance and that this was likely a scam. Subsequent calls and texts to the scammer went unreturned.
