I have been looking to purchase an AKC Registered Boston Terrier puppy online. The going rate for them is typically $1500-2000. I found this website yesterday which advertised AKC registered Boston Terrier puppies for only $600 with free shipping. The website is put together in a way that makes it very legitimate, even including photos of available puppies and the parents along with many Testimonials from past customers. However, aside from the price, there are some grammatical errors in speech on the page which also alerted me to a possible scam. I did go ahead and use the contact form to ask about purchasing a puppy. I quickly received an email back from them. Here is the email (in raw format for your detailed analysis):

Based upon the email response that listed that payment must be via Western Union or MoneyGram, I was even more alarmed. I did respond back to the email with this:

"So our daughter lives in Lynchburg, so is it possible for her to come and visit the puppies?

And we were interested in a female not a male.

How do you ship a puppy?

I never received an email in return to my inquiry. So today I looked up the website on http://whois.domaintools.com and the results show a definite attempt at scamming. Here is the link to the result:

As a website designer, I am very aware of how easy it is to build a scam website and take people's money through them. Please shut these people down before more are duped into sending them money.
