Please know that I have purchased two pure bred dogs from cross country 2 x without any scams. I felt confident in my dealings with Tommy and trusted his word. I requested photos as well as 2 videos. All was well so I sent $500 via Zelle for his request for travel preparation and papers. He refused to send pet documents (warning 1) and I did not confirm pet shipping info (warning 2).
Next day, mom's cat died. I was so hopeful to share with her that a new memory would be coming home soon. I wrote to Tommy and he said shipping company was going to contact me. State Pet Transport wrote me with completely wrong information (warning 3) about a rag doll cat. I wrote Tommy and he apologized. I then wrote State Pet Transport again and they asked that I upgrade the kitten's crate due to COVID risk for $770. By now I smelled something fishy. I had my husband call Tommy and Tommy told us he would pay half of cost but needed $500 more dollars "for the little baby" to come home. Immediately, we demanded a refund. Did not hear from Tommy or State Pet Transport. Then, we decided to verify fraud with "bait" and told both Tommy and State Pet Transport that we would be willing to pay $500 but maxed out out our Zelle. Low and behold, Tommy and State Pet Transport were eager to start talking with us again. Instead of zelle they requested us to go out an buy $500 dollars worth of American Express gift cards. By now, I understand that most scammers will request money in this payment form. Once again, we asked for refund and have not heard from tommy or State Pet Transport. I have not received $500. Furthermore, my mother was crushed for not only losing her siamese cat, but also being scammed.
By the way, husband did an algorithm search of purebreedsiamese.com and found the exact same text on all of these sites below. It seems that STate Pet Transport and Tommy are in cohorts with other websites. I have reported to FBI but need all of your help to make a difference.
