A yellow card in a clear plastic bag with a vial was placed on my front door (see attached image) warning me about the high levels of chlorine in the water in my neighborhood. The card appears to be from a government agency or the water company, but in reality, it is a private company (probably Puronics, though no company name was provided on the card) trying to get you to provide your personal information so that they can contact you to sell you their products and services. They even provide a vial for you to put a sample of your water in! The back of the yellow card is a form for you to fill out asking you about your water and it requires you to fill in your name, address, phone number, and signature so that they can test your water for free! The problem is that it all appears to be very official from some authority and so many people would provide this information without actually knowing it is just a private company trying to foul people into buying their services! Very scandalous business practices! This company should be prevented from promoting their business in this fashion, and consumers should be warned.
