Type of a scam Moving
I called several times inquiring about our move, my concerns, the dates, They told me we get a call two to three days before the move. On Friday they called and told me our move is on Sunday, moving company is Out Of State Moving Services. No website, no information about them. I finally found ScamPulse.com had given them an F rating and indicated they were out of business. I contacted Purple Heart and they told me they would change our company if we waited to move between Aug 3-7. We have to be out of our house no later than the 5th and we signed an addendum to allow them to move their boxes in on the 3rd. So on Sunday at 10:45 the three guys (I was told 4 guys) rolled up in a Penske truck. They said they would need another truck and the price was now$7500 only cash. So our price went from $6400 to $9500 and we had to pay cash only. The contract stated from Purple Heart : a credit card for pick up, cash for final payment. We told them to leave. We called Purple Heart customer service and they said they would contact quality assurance about getting something else for us. Then they sent email that we lose our refund for cancellation. Again, we have to leave by the 3rd. So they basically sent a few guys with a rental truck for a Large 4 bedroom move. The movers also said they would deliver by the next day at noon for a 500 mile move. Purple Heart took our deposit and had no intention of finding a legitimate moving company to move us.
