Cattery has legitimate looking website. It shows that they are associated with CFA and TICA. Lots of good reviews. We asked about a kitten and they asked about us. I sent info about us and pic of our previous cat. I offered to visit by zoom, since we are 6 1/2 hours away from us. They didn't act on that request. All communication was by email or text. They told us how the cat would be transported (vaguely). I asked about type of food. They sent a video of the kitten. We made arrangements to pay thru Zelle, which I did on May 5. They told us 24-48 hrs for paperwork to be processed and then they would ship with a pet nanny, sample food, toys, blanket and litter box and would deliver to our door. May 6, they told us that kitten would be delivered by 4pm on Sat. and tracking info would come. On May 7, tracking info arrived and it look like a company called Premium Relocators would be flying him from Duluth to Sioux City with 2 stops in between. About 10 a.m. we got an email from the transportation company asking for $1700 for pet insurance to cross state lines and $135 for vet chk and when kitten was delivered, we 'd get $1700 back. I ignored the email and went back to Breeder and asked if I'd been scammed. I demanded the kitten be delivered or a full refund by 4pm CST, thru Zelle, or they'd be talking to our lawyer.

He told me to be calm. He said he'd work on another type of transportation and get back to me. He told me the kitten had landed in Mnpls and he had to drive there to get the kitten back. The tracking info showed that the kitten was in Mnpls. May 8, he texted me that he was working on a Monday delivery and I never heard from him again. On May 8th, I emailed the Duluth MN Police and Chamber of Commerce, and neither party is familiar with the company or owners, Benny Berger and Nicholas Townes. On Monday, I notified our fraud/dispute dept at the Bank and filed a fraud/scam claim with the local police and sherriff's dept. If you have more questions, please feel free to reach out.
