stated they were hiring me - emailed a check for 3150 for employment and to purchase at home office supplies - check was from Auditor's office in Osceola Iowa - I called them - they verified check was not from them - they closed that account and received about 25 canceled checks from that account that appeared to be a scam - caller who states he is a Robert Shockley want me to do a mobile deposit of an emailed check - I stated the banks systems were down and I would have to wait = mean while I emailed all documents that I had to the iowa's auditor's office and gave her my contact info for future reference if needed - while trying to deposit the check - small talk with the caller who stated he was from Seattle Washington
