Craigslist item offered for sale. Received the text message to email someone's mother to see if it is still for sale. Email that person and you get "I will send you a check. Make sure it clears before I come for the item. Etc, etc." A few emails later and it's "I'm sending extra money for the pick-up and delivery so deposit the check and send the extra money via western union, etc to so and so" It is a SCAM!!! When you google this company, they have the same telephone number that goes to 6 different states. Of course, no one answers the phone when you call. Also, the check that they sent is from a chemical company in Ohio that when I called them, they responded that they had received numerous calls from people asking if the check that they received is real or not.
