My husband was contacted by Anthony Benson of QBE insurance for a work from home job. They texted him. They interviews him over the phone. He talked with people via Skype video chats. They then sent him a check for 5900 dollars and told him to deposit it. He did that. He waited 48 hours and verified with his bank that the check “cleared”. They verified that it did. Anthony Benson from QBE then instructed him to transfer those funds via a cash app to another qbe employee who could purchase equipment my husband needed to perform his job. Well the next day his bank account was negative. He transferred funds as instructed but the check was pulled from the issuing bank as fake. So now we are out 5900 dollars and don’t know what to do.
