This company presents as a reputable construction company for remodels, additions, etc. We hired him to do an addition to our home. We agreed to milestone payments as we self-financed. He took our money in advance for each milestone then got behind and failed to deliver. We also found things that were improperly done and now must be redone (wrong kind of paint used on cabinets, walls that are crooked and won’t allow a door to swing properly, junction boxes that are recessed in the wall and can’t be used; electrical work that has never been completed. We are out over $50,000 that now must be spent with another company to finish the poor quality, incomplete work he left behind. Xavier Vela is the technical owner of XN Construction on paper but Sergio Espinoza is the general contractor / boss.
