In September 2023 I was on vacation in Provincetown, Massachusetts. There was a fake meter sticker with a QR code at a public parking spot. I scanned the QR and noticed immediately after I entered my credit card number that I was taken to a different website having to do with online gaming, not parking. I immediately reported the fraud to my credit card company and did not lose any money (just time). I reported the fake sticker to the local police who said they would investigate.

I was looking for a free QR code to put on my business cards to direct people to my website and when doing a search I came across https://qrfy.com/my-qr-codes that promised free QR codes. I filled out all the information then got the QR code long enough to have the business cards printed then they shut off the function of the QR code and demanded money to make it work. This is very deceptive and basically blackmail.

I received the letter with QR code and fake customer number and was told to respond before January 26, 2024. Having looked them up online I saw the scam report and threw out the letter.

I received a letter in the mail recently regarding a vehicle that I purchased recently. They stated that their records indicate that I have not contacted them regarding mechanical coverages on my recently purchased vehicle. They want me to call this bogus phone number and provide my VIN and current mileage of my car in order to get some sort of service coverage for me. They expect me to call within 5 days to ensure eligibility for this coverage. There’s also a fake customer ID on the letter as well.I know I do not have any mechanical coverage and wish these people would find something else to do than scam people.

I scanned a QR Code to pay for event parking in Salt Lake City, Utah. I entered my license plate # and pressed Continue to add my credit card information. After adding my credit card details and email address, I received information from Fraavy saying I had just signed up for their subscription service (first 5 days are free followed by $50/mo). I also recieved a scam alert from my credit card company. I declined any purchase from Fraavy and am in the process of getting a new credit card number.
