This company repeatedly called me offering a refund for software services due to a lawsuit. I had to allow access for them to remote into my computer to open their banking institution which was Coinstop, and I had to allow two transactions of small dollar amount that would be immediately returned to prove it was my account, which wasn't discussed until there had access to my computer. When I questioned this and denied it, they repeatedly called me to begin this process. I had suspicions but due to my personal financial issues, the refund was too tempting. So, yesterday, I began this process and even though I had many questions, and argued with the caller for the entire conversation, especially because once they remoted in and opened my email without permission, and deleted email receipts before I could even read them, and by this time had my debit card information and once my banking page was open, I saw three transactions pending. This company called my bank customer service, told me to give them permission to unblock a $10 transaction. By this time the "associate" and I were yelling at one another and he refused to explain the $10 transaction, kept repeating that he wasn't doing anything that he wasn't telling me(which wasn't what I was upset) and that they would only be pending transactions, never actually taken out of the account. I asked the banking associate to allow the one time transaction and she informed me that the bank also blocked a $1000 withdrawl and as soon as she said this, the QTech rep hung up. I immediately called my bank separately, blocked online use of my acct, my debit card, the bank filed an investigation, put my computer in sleep mode, this morning I woke to find my desktop wiped. I have no idea if this company erased more evidence of tampering.
