Quaker Auto Consignor Reports & Reviews (1)

An individual based out of New York, New York has taken over a website that used to be a legitimate business. The web address is VERY sophisticated because it used to be a registered business. They are Quaker Auto Consignor. I was hooked through a craigslist ad that said there was a boat being sold. When I contacted through the craigslist form, the seller said she had engaged a consignment shop. I was directed to their website (quakerauto.com) to register. Again, this website has livechat, stable transaction pages, a full about information. Even more disturbing is that the internet has multiple review for the company dating back to 2014 stating how reliable they are. This is because the website and service used to be a real thing. Unfortunately, a scammer got ahold of the website and is now stealing wire transfers. I wire transferred money to a "holding service" called Kazonas Service Corp based out of NY, NY at Citibank. Needless to say, there never was a boat. After the page was updated with a bill of sale (that looked legitimate) and I live chatted with them, and emailed back and forth several times, the boat was "delayed." Then it was "in a an accident" and they would "refund the money" if I sent them my banking information. This business is a fraud. I have reported it to multiple federal agencies and my local police department.
