I had applied for a job through Getgigs/Gigsmart, and I was on the job board and had found the QCF job offering $30 an hour, and it a took about four days for someone to reach out to me. The guy who messaged me stated his name to be Cody. He asked if I had time for an interview and I messaged him back the following day and we started the interview through text format. It seemed simple enough, as I was applying for a collection agent position. We had chatted about the role, about the pay which as I stated was $30 an hour plus a 6% bonus, and commission. When I asked when I would be paid, whether it be daily, weekly, or biweekly. He restated the hourly/bonus/commission line. Then he went on to stay that I would need to open up an account with a credit union, which I couldn’t due to certain reason and I’ve tried asking him about connecting my bank account with chase and he hasn’t gotten back to me. This was all within a 32 hour time period. He still has not gotten back to me about why he cannot work with the account I currently have, no numbers have been shared and will not be shared. He tried to push for First Tech CU, and also mentioned Elevations, Bellco, and ENT. I had talked with an accountant about the job and they cleared up that it was potentially fraudulent and due to the fact that he hasn’t reached out to me to clear the issue up I am filing this complaint. I tried looking the company up through your website even and it did not pop up. Please block this person from trying to scam others like myself, a lot of us are honest workers and need the money so when we come across something like this we need it to be reliable and it was not for me. There was no email available as it hasn’t been set up, and the guy stated they’re working on opening up an office in Boulder but didn’t state where in Boulder. So I do apologize for the N/As in some of the areas that needed filling out. Thank you for your time, and I hope you’re able to straighten this person out.
