Type of a scam Online Purchase
The (fake) business name of "Quality Used Equipment and Transmissions" per the 2 scammers, giving their names of "Paris" and "Mr. Henry" at this phone #608-800-0908. I am unable to locate any records under this phone # -- which has now been disconnected. (They are actually ALFYHOME SUPPLIES located in HONG KONG).
They asked my spouse to purchase a VANILLA VISA card and a NORDSTROM card (unfortunately he did so) to pay for a used car part. The scammers IMMEDIATELY retracted the funds that were on placed on these two cards. The scammers kept asking my spouse to put more funds onto the cards (which he did not).
Once I found this out -- I called their phone #608-800-0908, I spoke to both "Paris" and a "Mr Henry" who spoke in broken language (not English). They refused to provide me their business address; they refused to provide a Tax ID# or NPI # --- only stating to me they are located in "Wisconsin". Mr. Henry gave a partial address of "2939 169th Street", in Queens? I "called them out" on their scam, and they were still bold enough to ask me for my BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER which I told them "absolutely not".
These POS cowards have scammed us of our money. They misrepresented themselves with no intention to ever send us a product as advertised on EBAY. The exchange of money was through 2 gift cards purchased at Walmart. WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE VANILLA VISA card OR A NORDSTROM card. Once funds are loaded onto the cards - scammers have immediate access & withdraw the funds.
I notified & complained to both VANILLA VISA customer service 1-833-322-6760 and NORDSTROM customer service 1-877-283-4045 of this scam. The only information they could provide me was the name of the receiver of funds: ALFYHOME SUPPLIES located in HONG KONG. Consumers should have better protection & be forewarned of potential scams through the purchase of their cards. I have also filed a complaint with the ScamPulse.com (Wisconsin) as well as online and with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) of ALFYHOME SUPPLIES located in HONG KONG.
