Have a great day.
I did regrettably "sign up" and received my first assignment in the mail - instructions signed by Mark Carter (I don't know any such person and had not ever seen the name before) and a check for $2900.42 with the name Andre M. William issued by First Community Credit Union. I was to send an email to [email protected] indicating receipt (amount received, Bank name of the check, my phone number and estimated time to complete assignment). I was to cash the check and purchase $2500 in ebay gift cards, scratch the silver PIN space off and send pictures of front and back of cards as an attachment to the email. Then save the gift cards for the next assignment. "Mark Carter" did text me " This is Mark Carter from Survey Results. How are you doing today?"
Did not follow through - made a reach back to my colleague on LinkedIn and said "I am quite anxious this is a scam" to which he replied, "Yes, it is a scam! My LinkedIn Account was hacked and LinkedIn has now fixed it. However, there is still some spam going around ..."
Blocking Mark Carter's number and survey results email.
I suspect the copies of gift cards are used to make purchases and the check is fake.
