Sponsored Ad on Facebook selling Vegepod Self Watering Raised Garden. Clicking on link brings you to a website that appears to be QVC, citing “officially licensed shop”, displaying QVC videos of the raised garden, stating ssl encryption of payments. Everything on the site leads one to believe you are on the true QVC website. It wasn’t until the “order confirmation” email was received that red flags were raised. The email came from [email protected]; the sentence “click here to check the status…” was not a clickable link; “Contact Customer Care at…” had only the email address [email protected], no phone or address; direct typing the website for QVC and then entering the order number from the confirmation yielded “no matching order found”. A phone call to QVC confirmed the site is a fake along with a number of others that QVC is currently legally investigating.
