I was buying an AC window unit listed for 81.78 online which was originally listed for 400 dollars. When I tried to pay it sent me to Paypal and I paid but then I realized it was a scam. I tried messaging the "seller" and Paypal but could not get my money back.

My teenager wanted to buy a board game and found a "good deal" by searching online, and found a website that was having a "24-hour sale" selling the board game for 50% off. He was really excited and asked me to buy it for him. I completed the purchase and was a little suspicious when I noticed that the payment was via PayPal and after I paid, I got an email confirmation for a "donation". The message said this:

"No extra fee applied but We will donate 2% of order amount to help "Homeless People In America". We will fulfill your order in 24 hours upon your payment. Have a goog day!"

I got a bad feeling about this, so we tried to contact their customer support at "[email protected]", but the email bounced. That really raised the alarm, so we contacted PayPal and reported the seller. PayPal reached out to the seller and they never responded so I was able to recover the payment via PayPal.

We never got any communication from the seller after the initial payment, so I'm 100% confident they never intended to fulfill the order.

However, this page that scammed us is still up and wow the 24 hour sale is still on!

My phone number is listed on the Rahebest website along with someone's random house address in Lexington, NC. I have been receiving calls from customers that are being scammed.

My number is listed in the customer support number in the FAQ page and also at the bottom of the page. https://www.rahebest.com
