Rail Ninja provided booking options for a specific departure time and class of travel. This was marked available and was booked. The next day, Rail Ninja sent an email saying the fare class was no longer available and presented me with an alternate option. I selected this option and then a few hours later I received another email saying the departure time was not available and the next closest times they provided were either 2 hours prior or 6 hours later. Upon looking at the official train companies website, I found that the fare class and times that I selected were certainly available. Upon requesting a refund based on these discrepancies they charged a 26% refund fee. After looking them up on the internet I found many others had similar or worse experiences. This company is a complete scam.

This vendor is the top Google result for buying a train ticket in Norway, and nothing on the website suggests that they are not the official vendor for Vy travel. They mark the ticket up from the actual price by almost 3x. Their "refundable" fare includes a hidden 20% or more "fee", and for one trip they only offered a single fare option which they say cannot be canceled. I have contacted them about cancelling the charge for this trip, but to do it through their process I have to agree to their terms and conditions which include the "fee". They have been unresponsive with questions about the seating selection, and I have found many reports online of travelers being stranded without tickets by them and otherwise defrauded. They have no contact method other than opening a support ticket.

This website is a scam third party website that I mistakenly took for a real website associated with the official Japan Transportation Department. They claim on my order through the website, when I tried to pursue a cancellation/refund, that I would only receive 50% back, of which I have not received. I have not heard from Rail Ninja customer support and have been unable to follow up with the cases I have open with them because they do not provide a case number or email to get a hold of their support, or a telephone number.

At the time of purchase the website didn’t make it clear that there was a significant pricing markup to the real value of the train ticket. Note that booking with the official provider is 50% cheaper and is 100% refundable. This website only exists with the intent to defraud others, and there have been multiple accounts warning consumers to not purchase from this website as they were left stranded in foreign country train stations.
