I was contacted by Lucy MacCallum regarding a job offer with Ramp Health as a Remote Administrative Assistant. I generally check these types of contacts very well as I have experienced a multitude of scam job offers. This one was elaborate in their hiring process, there was an assessment that I needed to complete and an online testing process. The communication was conducted through RingCentral. Throughout my communication I constantly asked question to verify the legitimacy of this offer. Everything seems to check out until the last step in the process was a requirement to send me a $4950.00 check via email to cover the cost of the equipment, even though everything up to this point was clear the company would provide their specific equipment at no cost to me. These scammers are getting out of control, I've been unemployed since October and this is the 5th time I have had to deal with scammers finding my resume on LinkedIn, Indeed, and CareerBuilders. Even the applications I have submitted from these job search website have so many scam job offers it's impossible to know what is real or who you can trust. I didn't deposit their echeck as I've already been down this road. I have kept a copy of the echeck and all correspondence, should anyone care.
