I am retired in my 80s. Robert carmack was in a white pickup and smiled as I was coming from the mailbox. I thought I knew him smiled back that's all It took he pulled over. Nice guy seemed like a family man Grandpa to 10, sister just lost her husband to covid and she has five kids he's trying to help. I was kind of sucked right in. He had "leftover' driveway sealant from a job he just completed and he could give me a really good price because it would just go bad on him. I was resistant but he just kept playing the nice guy telling me how good it would look and don't I want to keep my house up just playing on my emotions and I let my guard down. He said normally it would be $3,400 he would do it for $1,700 if I could pay him cash he would do it for $1, 400!! I even went to the bank to get money he started on the job by the time I got back 20 minutes or so he was already spraying. He sprayed over Moss the job looked really uneven there were bare spots there was a puddle on the side of my driveway and a spill at the end of my driveway. He took my money said he would be back next Saturday and would do three more coats, I can't believe he put three coats on. I was just sick, I know better but I didn't think to cancel the check for $700 until Monday but he cashed the check on Monday. I called him in the in the middle of the week and talked to a total different guy, he was no longer Mr Nice Guy very gruff, actually kind of scary. He said he did what I paid for he said he did say he would come back on Saturday and spray another couple coats and he would do that. Saturday came and went and I didn't hear from him. I called him today to see if he'd be here tomorrow he said he's in California on an emergency and he would call me when he's back. I'm not holding my breath my driveway is about 375 sq'.
